This morning, while i was driving my girl to her school, i heard radio news comment about “President’s State of Union Speech, saying that “it’s as good as it gets.” I believe so, too. Frankly speaking, i was a bit tired and felt like getting cold last night. So while listening to it, i fell in sleep. This morning, i heard bits of the speech from here and there. So, i post the you tube site of that speech here, frankly speaking, as for my later reference to go back.
Before the speech, there was a comment that the State of Union Speech usually doesn’t affect the outcome of incumbent president’s re-election prospect so much. But, after the speech, i hear that the Speech may pave the road for President’s re-election.
“President Obama’s “Gizillian-Dollar-War-Chest””
(although i have no sense of how much gizillian dollar would be.) I believe President’s State of Union Speech was an elaborately well woven tapestry of well developed, deepened political strategies, policies, giving us the clues of the well seasoned leader’s elaborate political skills and depth, along with unyielding passion, even after three years of steering the tough salty stormy political water. The texture of his speech gives the taste of the difference of his experience before and after he entered the Presidency, but the same person with same or greater vigor, passion, and more seasoned strategic thinking that don’t disappoint us but reassure us “Who He Is.” His emphasis on “Economic Equality” and “Tax” issues are right on target while the gradual recovery of US economy and the tough battle of GOP primary make his sailing to re-election smoother. It appears that President is approaching his second-term with another storm, but with different kind of waves than his first ones. Some say that his speech (i heard that the major part of the speech is Mr. Obama’s own writing) was too long, should have been shorter, more efficient; but i like it better in that way, because it shows the amount, strength of his enthusiasm on it, that made him forget about efficiency, a minor point compared to the importance of contents and specifics. i hear praises about how specific his policy suggestions, unlike his predecessors’. Some say that he should have bragged more about his achievements. One of good parts of the speech, i think, was “We Cannot Go Back to Where We Were.” (am i saying correctly?) After the late night speech (i’d say, because i fell in sleep), he is out on campaign trail to Arizona, Iowa, Michigan…..right next this morning. whhhhhhmmmmmm.
And he shows his respect to other cultures.
i respect people who sincerely fulfill their callings.
