Mr. Romney’s Dilemma to Economy is Similar to Mr. Gingrich’s Dilemma to Morality. Isn’t It?

As many people seem to more seriously consider the unignorable flaw in Mr. Gingrich’s background and started supporting Mr. Romney more in the GOP race, Mr. Romney’s rating seems to be soaring. But as got to think of Mr. Romney’s background as a businessman, i cannot not notice the seemingly comparability, similarity between Mr. Gingrich and Mr. Romney’s background, though in different dimensions. The similarities between them are:

Mr. Gingrich Vs. Morality:

Reason: it’s not just about his infidelity, having two wives (or three?). it goes far beyond the number of his wives.)

Mr. Romney Vs. Economy:

(Reason 1) Have we considered his background as a businessman? Rooted in “Which Industry”? The industry that has had nothing to do with the current Great Recession?

(Reason 2) The Out-of-Proportion size of the Financial Industry in the US economy (while other manufacturing has been quickly declining in this country) has been “One” of major reasons that have contributed to the overall unhealthy / unbalanced structure of US Economy, Income Inequality / Middle Class Crisis, and unhealthy employment/unemployment structure in this country.

If financiers in this country had had some level of vision for future and took their desire for business profits to moderation, the industry could have been a very healthy contributing factor to the healthy US economy by now. But the reality has been completely, disasterusly opposite to this dream. So, it seems very irony to invite one of them to lead this country’s economy, especially at this time of deepest recession. Don’t you think?

(Reason 3) Let’s be frank. While working for his equity firm, he had decomposed companies, not building. Decomposing is not a synonym of building. Can the experience of decomposing firms be a good base for building economy?

(Reason 4) Studying business means learning how to “MICRO-MANAGE” a company, and beat out other competitions, I believe. It’s all about “MICRO-MANAGEMENT” of a piece, not the whole. When even a famous gifted economist (economists are supposed to be whole-piece managers, seeing the big pictures in general) cannot get the big picture of economy correctly, is there any particular reason for us to believe that a micro-manager of a piece can see the big picture of economy well, get it right?

If business managers had have managed their businesses correctly and had some visions, why the whole chunks of American industries/business have disappeared, have been wiped out? Where are all those old Great American companies of electronics, machines, textiles, cars, toys, shoes, you name them, thesedays?

Besides, when Mr. Romney said, “Mitt Romney on Thursday sought to portray President Barack Obama as out of touch with the struggles of everyday Americans — a charge he himself has often faced — by comparing the president to a former French queen who was overthrown during the French Revolution. When the president’s characterization of our economy was, ‘It could be worse,’ it reminded me of Marie Antoinette: ‘Let them eat cake.” (source: “Mitt Romney: President Obama Out Of Touch Like Marie Antoinette””

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/12/29/mitt-romney-compares-pres_n_1175230.html), it was puzzling whether:

When he said “it reminded me of Marie Antoinette: ‘Let them eat cake”,“Did Mr. Romney confuse himself with Ms. Sarah Palin?””

Did he at least say it in man’s voice?

i Couldn’t feel his “Manhood.” And the comparison doesn’t even make sense. It is like “What the…?” It’s not the kind of statement or comparison that public could expect to hear from a “To-Be-Great-Leader.” i desperately wish to be able to respect the person if he is going to be a nation’s leader. And when read his statement as below, it’s puzzling whether he has any idea about how economy works, or has understood what economists have said about the economy.

“This has been already the worst recovery since Hoover. [Obama] may say it’s getting better and try to take credit for the fact that the economy recovered. But the economy will always recover,” Romney said. “We’ve never gone into permanent recession or depression. The economy will come back after recession. The question is, did he help it or hurt it? Did he prolong the pain or reduce the pain? The truth is he made things harder to recover, he made more people suffer longer.”

‘The Fix:’ Dirty Energy’s Undue Influence on American Political Life

Why is everything happening all together?

The almost-collapse of car industry, the meltdown of housing and financial markets, health care and financial reforms, the aftermath of BP oil spill, all of which directed public attention to the appalling role of lobbyists and interest politics on US politics and economy.

Are these some kind of prophecy telling the public that this is the time for America to wake up and do a through overhaul of herself if she wants to survive in modern times? “

“How to solve American Addiction to Petroleum?
It’s simple. Stimulate “American Consumerism,” “Consumption Mania” (sorry to say this) in favor of clean energy.

Bring those Apple, I Pod, I Phone guys to use their creativity, imagination to produce fancy smart cars of clean energy with fancy designs, fancy functions at reasonably not expensive prices.

Even you don’t have to tell public that we have to love the country, environment, support clean energy. How many times a year do people replace their cell phones with newer designs? If these cars are easily available at affordable prices, consumers’ impulse to buy these smart cars will solve the (part of) emission problems by itself. By that time, the oil industry will be shrinking, dying, don’t have money to fund politicians of special interests, and nobody will listen to Ms. Palin’s shrieking, “Drill Baby Drill” or pay attention to whether her bossom is real or not.”

Alaskan Sen. Murkowski’s Resolution Defeated in Senate in Favor of EPA and Clear Air Act.

Yesterday, there was an announcement of the Senate rejection of Murkowski’s resolution. Earlier, Alaskan Republican Senator Lisa Murkowski introduced a resolution to block the authority of Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to reduce global warming emission. The potential impacts of the passage of this resolution is well expressed below:

“Friend – Alaska Republican Sen. Lisa Murkowski, with strong support from the big oil companies, has introduced a resolution that would prevent the Environmental Protection Agency from regulating greenhouse gas pollution — and dismantle the bipartisan Clean Air Act. If her measure becomes law, the effects would be immediate. Nearly every step President Obama has taken to promote clean energy would be repealed. It would wreak havoc on the President’s landmark clean vehicle standards that ensure cars go farther on a gallon of gas, and it would block requirements that force large power plants and factories to use new technology and clean energy to reduce their pollution.” -BarackObama.com-

Along with Ms. Palin’s beloved slogan, “Drill Baby Drill,” Murkowski’s resolution may be the joint façade of Alaskan politicians toward oil and environmental issues. Thankfully, as of yesterday, June 10, 2010, the Senate functioned very well to block the passage of Murkowski’s resolution, clearing the passage of the Clean Air Act.

Let’s be clear. We don’t want to give up, sacrifice our and our kids’ chances for recovering, maintaining clean air, water, stable climate conditions, safe living environments, just to help those short-sighted Alaskan politicians’ self-indulged, personal ambition to maintain their political posts, get campaign money, and get rich by playing special interest politics while tricking public in ambiguous ways with the “What-Happens-After-That?-Who-Knows?”-Attitude. Right? I just wish to take back the old times of relaxed, comfortable living with high school or college diplomas and decent salaries that can easily meet all the living expenses and leave slight extra dollars for savings, combined with the convenience of current fancy gadgets. You don’t want that?

Now, I have to take kids out to The Park.

Arianna: Sarah Palin Has Demeaned Herself With Rush Limbaugh Hypocrisy (VIDEO)

“Arianna argued that Palin’s decision to go after Emanuel, but not Limbaugh is all part of Palin’s “cost-benefit analysis” operating procedure”

I guess it’s Ms. Palin’s and/or her advisor’s survival instinct (or did they really go into more complicate, thinking-required cost/benefit analysis?).

Ms. Palin found a good job in TV and can maintain her “Foxy” look with million dollar income. She should stay there happily ever after !

Ms. Palin goes ‘Birther’ to criticize Obama’s Birth Certificate? Oh, Woman………

Oh, man……Oh, woman……

This birth certificate “thingyyyy” again?

Does this really matter?  Before or even now?

Ms. Palin has huge publicity “Without Political Substances” to back it up, but “With unbelievable Family Saga” to back it up.

With such huge publicity, why she keeps getting into trivial, side track political issues and keeps degrading herself, her public image, qualification as a future candidate for “What”?

Up to now, according to her political achievements, she seems to more belong to “Saturday Night Live,” rather than the league of US politicians.

I wish Gov. Arnold Schuwaltzgeneger has done better job in California to run for future presidency. Then people may not talk about presidential candidate’s birth certificate but more focus on his/her qualification.

Coin Conspiracy, Penny Conspiracy, and Ms. Palin

In the morning of hearing Ms. Palin’s coin conspiracy, my 5 yrs old Kindergartner and I practiced “Kindergarten Math” using coins. The kind of addition and deduction thingy. We called it “Penny Conspiracy.”

I read that Ms. Sarah Palin is going to wage a “War against “New Class” of intellectuals, government bureaucrats…and parasitic elites.” (Reference: Jacob Heilbrunn, “Sarah palin’s Slap Shot,” http://www.huffingtonpost.com/jacob-heilbrunn/sarah-palins-slap-shot_b_357178.html)

My first response was a sigh…. Holly s…….sheep (goat or cow, by the way, God bless Ms. Palin! If she is meant to be).

In respect to the official, surfacial bipartisan standpoint of Gop and Dem, I’d respect any presidential candidates from any political parties, as far as they are qualified for the JOB and have sincere mind, political talents, and put up hard work on themselves to qualify for.

If Ms. Palin is serious about running for Presidency, I would expect her to do her best to equip, surround herself with qualified advisors, experts, and educate/train herself to get ready for the next bid !

Instead, I am hearing that she is planning to wage a “Class War” against people who went colleges, read about issues more than usual folks, educated themselves more than usual, and raise their voices on social, political issues more than usual. I hear that she is planning this war in the midst of recession, along with endless numbers of insurmountable international and domestic conflicts. She wants to do it like there are few problems in this country, so it’s necessary to create one to energize it?

After the disastrous former presidency, even simple-minded folks, who voted for beer-buddy-looking candidate, said that they don’t want President who acts like them and stammers in middle sentences. They declare that they want President who doesn’t look like them, a non-stammer, “the one” who is able to handle the complicate JOB of being President, wanting not to be pushed into another  “RECESSION” !

Even when ordinary folks changed their mind and prefer non-stammering President, Ms. Palin talks about waging a war against non-stammering politician folks (in professional terms, are they called “new class” intellectuals?)?

Instead of working hard on training and teaching herself for the BIG JOB, are we expected to see Ms. Palin waste her time on this kind of MISSION? Isn’t she expected to be a “Uniter” of the country, instead of being a “Divider.”Also, arn”t there enough serious international and domestic problems that U.S. is facing now?

Instead of solving them, Ms. Palin wants to create, add one more problem?
